Linux System Engineer – NCC Group – Delft

Your role as Linux Engineer

We’re on the lookout for a Linux engineer to join our internal IT department at our cybersecurity company. As a member of our team, you’ll be focused on our internal network, writing ansible scripts, and maintaining and updating them. You’ll also be responsible for building servers with Debian and Alma OS, documenting progress and manuals, and working with our Jira ticketing system.

In addition to these responsibilities, you’ll be tasked with maintaining servers, phasing out legacy products, and finding solutions for out phased functionality. You’ll also be working with the team to maintain and create a standard and continuously improve our landscape and processes, with the ultimate goal of automating as much as possible. Scripting languages like Bash, Python, and Ansible will be your bread and butter.

While certification is always a plus, we value experience over certification. If you’re willing to learn and make this role your own, we’re open to accepting candidates who might not have all the experience listed above. Our team is very close, and we always help each other out. You’ll have the opportunity to really think and create with us to solve challenges that arise in our landscape.

This is you

As a specialist you do have good analytical- and problem solving skills. You are a critical thinker with attention to detail. Next to that:

You do have experience with Ansible and setting up a Debian based OS by developing Ansible roles and playbooks;

You are Driven and can keep an overview of the work to be performed;

You got excellent communication- and collaboration skills;

You are native in Dutch and English.
