You will be the coordinating function to support our organization to realize and maintain this safety vision. In this position you report to the HSE Director Netherlands.
Your daily duties will include, and You will be responsible on the following:
Compliance – our license to operate: Ensure implementation and compliance with (legal) requirements, ISO standards 9001/14001/45001/50001, internal standards and (environmental) permits.
Zero & Beyond : establish an open HSE culture throughout the complete organization; be a leading example;
HSE and sustainability reporting : Analyzing and reporting on health, safety and environmental performance metrics. Tracking and reporting on emissions, waste, and resource consumption.
Emergency Preparedness: Head of the emergency response organization, maintain the emergency response plan, organize training and exercises;
Incident Investigation : Lead near miss and incident investigations, ensure effective management of outcomes and lessons learned;
Security Planning and Policy Development : Developing and implementing comprehensive security plans and policies to protect the organization’s assets, people, and information;
Risk Management : Planning, executing, coordinating and following up on risk assessments;
Safety Training: Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety;
HSE Audits: Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement;
Safety Equipment and Procedures : Ensure the availability and proper use of safety equipment, PPE’s and promote safe work procedures;
Communication: Effectively communicate with management, employees, and regulatory agencies regarding health, safety and environmental matters.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate, who has:
Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering. Advanced degrees and relevant certifications may be preferred.
Experience : Minimum 5 years of experience as HSE Manager in a production environment.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, risk management, emergency response, and safety management system, with focus on influencing people.
Communication : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with employees, management, and regulatory agencies. You have an excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both oral and written.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address health, safety and environmental issues.
Leadership : Effective leadership and team management abilities.
