ph3Duties and responsibilities /h3 ul liProvide design and architectural guidance for complex software applications, components, and modules while assessing and evaluating team recommendations. /li liEnsure the team uses appropriate modelling techniques in line with agreed software design standards, guidelines, patterns, and methodologies. /li liAccountable for the overall delivery of multiple design view to address stakeholder concerns and meet both functional and non-functional requirements, including security. /li liProvide leadership to identify, evaluate, and recommend design alternatives and trade-offs. /li liAddress any concerns in model, and simulate, or prototype proposed software behaviours to secure stakeholder approval and facilitate effective software construction. /li liReview, verify, and enhance own designs against specifications and lead reviews of others' designs. /li liEvaluate and enhance the effectiveness of current processes, products, and programs by applying research insights and integrating emerging technologies from the team. /li /ul h3Leadership and Performance Management /h3 ul liProvide operational direction, support, and guidance to the team. /li liAllocate tasks or project work, in line with team objectives and individual capabilities. /li liAssess quality and performance against established criteria in line with set policies, practices, and procedures to make learning recommendations or escalating concerns. /li liCoach colleagues in developing target skills and capabilities in line with team and personal goals. /li liProvide input for performance discussions regarding direct reports, including promotions and other employment decisions. /li liFacilitate effective working relationships between team members. /li liParticipate in bi-annual performance reviews. /li /ul h3Project Management /h3 ul liTake full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects. /li liProvide effective leadership to the project team, adopting suitable project management methods and tools. /li liManage change control processes and assesses risks, ensuring projects align with governance frameworks and business priorities. /li liCommunicate regularly with cross functional stakeholders, ensuring project deliverables meet agreed standards, budgets, and timelines. /li liEnsure project and product quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure. /li liProactively monitor performance metrics, implementing preventive and corrective actions as needed. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent. /li li7+ years working in relevant Software Engineering roles, including Senior Software Engineer. /li li1+ years leading a team either formally or informally. /li liProficiency in modern backend languages such as Go, Python, or TypeScript/Node.js. /li liExperience building modern Single Page Applications (SPAs) with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. /li liSolid understanding of cloud architecture and best practices for building and deploying scalable and reliable applications. /li liExperience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB). /li liExpected to actively participate in code reviews and set a high bar for code quality across all technologies. /li liProven ability to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks in complex applications. /li liStrong ability to articulate complex technical concepts to the team and other stakeholders. /li liSolid experience in an Agile/Scrum environment and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. /li /ul pIn addition, the position requires the following attributes: /p ul liBe able to work autonomously within a clear accountability framework, using discretion to address complex issues, while planning, monitoring, and escalating when needed to meet objectives within time and quality targets. /li liAbility to influence stakeholders at an account level, contribute to cross-functional teams to meet user needs, facilitates collaboration, and make decisions impacting project success, while participating in activities related to your expertise. /li liProficiency in handling diverse, complex technical or professional tasks, resolve issues through investigation, creative thinking, and innovative approaches. /li liCommunicate complex ideas effectively, drive personal and team development, evaluate technologies, apply expertise to proposals, and ensure security, privacy, and ethical practices. /li liPossess deep industry and domain knowledge, quickly adapt to new information, and apply expertise effectively while sharing knowledge with others. /li /ul h3Working conditions /h3 pSeequent is a global company, and flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate work across different time zones.
