Experts in the design and execution of large and complex offshore projects, they are constantly pushing the boundaries of technology. /ppPosition: Survey Support Engineer /ppType: Staff /ppPay: Based on experience /ppLocation: Delft, the Netherlands /ppJob Description /ppThe Survey Support Engineer is an office-based member and works within the ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) Unit, part of the Technical Department (TD). The TD’s objective is to efficiently manage the maintenance, repair and modifications of all vessels, yards and equipment, to provide the best technical service and support to the company on and offshore and to stay ahead of the development of new techniques, changing rules and regulations and client requirements. /ppThe Survey Support Engineer has the task to maintain, test, repair and prepare the electronic equipment used to perform offshore survey, positioning and remote intervention tasks. With sufficient experience and knowledge gained (in depth or general) and proven capability in the field, the Survey Support Engineer may be eligible for the title of Senior Survey Support Engineer at the discretion of the supervisor and Management. /ppResponsibilities /pulliEnsure the timely and effective maintenance, testing, installation and integration of survey and ROV equipment. /liliTesting of equipment prior to shipment/mobilisation; /liliPerform equipment calibrations; /liliFault-finding and maintenance of equipment and data network; /liliLiaise with the on-board Survey Engineers during operations; /liliEquipment administration, reporting and log keeping including tracking of equipment; /liliTesting and interfacing of survey sensors and systems to vessel, ROV, online and offline systems; /liliAdhere to maintenance (preventive-maintenance) schedule for all equipment and communicate this with Supervisor Survey Engineering. /liliCommunicate with the Unit Head ROV, Supervisor Survey Support Engineering and Asset manager on all technical issues. /li /ulpJob Requirements /pulliMTS electronics degree (HNC level); /liliKnowledge of analogue electronics, interfacing techniques, as well as digital signal processing. /liliPreferably experience in offshore survey industry with pipeline and/or subsea construction projects; /liliPreferably experience working with ROVs, acoustic positioning and general survey systems; /liliDiagnostic-, fault-finding and repair capabilities; /liliPreparing work packages. /li /ulpEmpowering Business.
