Jobid=626575967792464400 (0.0204)

ppAre you ready to be the owner of data systems that power critical business decisions? Do you thrive when you can turn raw data into reliable pipelines, scalable infrastructure, and insights that drive real impact? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. /p pWithin ABB E-mobility, we are building a new venture focused on an end-to-end managed offering that brings together hardware, software, and operational excellence into a unified service model. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast‑scaling, high‑impact business within ABB E-mobility, where you as (Senior) Data Engineer will play a key role in shaping the data platform for our next growth chapter. /p h3What You Will Do /h3 pWe are looking for a (Senior) Data Engineer to be our first internal hire in this new venture. /p pOur data platform has been built on Azure Databricks and is live in production. You will own it end‑to‑end. /p pNote: This is not a role for the faint of heart. You’ll be joining a fast‑moving team where priorities shift quickly, challenges come without warning, and solutions rarely exist yet. It will demand grit, speed, and relentless ownership. /p h3Your Responsibilities Will Include /h3 ul liOwn our data platform end‑to‑end, choosing the best strategy to ingest a new data source or repairing a broken pipeline at 10 pm. /li liProactively identify data quality issues, pipeline gaps, and business logic inconsistencies before data consumers find them. /li liBuild and maintain data pipelines using Delta Live Tables (DLT) as our core framework, authored in Python and SQL and deployed via Databricks Asset Bundles. /li liExtend and maintain our custom API ingestion framework (a native Spark Data Source) to onboard new data sources, handling pagination, incremental state, and schema evolution. /li liIntegrate and process streaming data from Azure Event Hubs into our data Lakehouse. /li liOwn data modelling and medallion architecture decisions (Bronze/Silver/Gold), including evolving them as the business grows. /li liDevelop a genuine understanding of the business domain: charging network operations, industry protocols (OCPP, OCPI), billing logic, and how the data is used by our Operations team. /li liOrchestrate and monitor multi‑step jobs end‑to‑end using Databricks Workflows. /li liManage and evolve cloud infrastructure using Terraform on Azure (Event Hubs, ADLS, Key Vault, Unity Catalog, networking) in combination with Databricks Asset Bundles for workspace assets. /li liEnforce data quality through DLT expectations and SQL alert definitions; own freshness and observability standards for the platform. /li liMaintain CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps. /li liContribute to our customer‑facing Charging Portal, which embeds Databricks dashboards and serves as the foundation for future API endpoints and customer self‑service features. /li /ul h3What You Will Bring /h3 pYou thrive in ambiguity and like to own outcomes. You excel where things are undefined, turning chaos into structure. You don’t wait for perfect clarity to act. You build, iterate, and scale. /p pYou learn new domains fast, both the technical protocols and what they mean in practice for the people depending on them. You can sit with our Operations team, understand what they actually need, and go build it without handholding. You communicate findings clearly to non‑technical stakeholders and know when to surface a problem versus silently fix it. /p h3Your Qualifications /h3 ul li4–7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or equivalent role. /li liStrong SQL and PySpark skills, comfortable reasoning about distributed execution, partitioning, and query performance. /li liHands‑on experience with Databricks, ideally with Delta Live Tables (DLT), Databricks Workflows, and Unity Catalog. /li liExperience with streaming data architectures (Azure Event Hubs or equivalent). /li liExperience building REST API ingestion pipelines: incremental loads, pagination, schema evolution, auth patterns. /li liComfortable with cloud infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred, or equivalent). /li liFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or equivalent). /li liTruly autonomous, able to define your own priorities and make architectural decisions you can defend. /li liDeeply curious about the business domain; you’ll be expected to learn and understand the EV charging industry, protocols, billing flows, etc. /li liStrong ownership mentality; you treat production incidents as your personal responsibility. /li liComfortable managing shifting priorities and ambiguity. /li liFluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills. /li /ul h3What We Can Offer /h3 pWork with the best specialists in their field, in a diverse environment with unparalleled global reach. Feel inspired by our strong strategy and laser focus on the market and the leading portfolio in the EV charging world. /p pWe expect you to take strong ownership and accountability for the scope you work on, enabling you to strongly contribute and make a difference and be a part of the transformation to a future of sustainable and efficient mobility. /p pA competitive compensation package in line with your capabilities and experience, in an environment where you can grow and learn. This package also comes with a choice of IT equipment (e.g., Macbook, iPhone), healthy and freshly served food in the lunch area, and the best coffee breaks with our in‑house barista. /p pOur individual differences make us successful. Diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities are at the core of what we do. We celebrate different experiences and perspectives, and we aim to empower everyone in the creation of sustainable solutions for people all over the world. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
