What are you going to do as Hardware Application Engineer

Develop FPGA code for prototyping and validating digital (ASIC) functionality

Maintain existing FPGA code

Design and develop cutting‑edge (uHDI) PCBs

Integrate Oldelft ultrasound products into customer systems

Develop and implement signal processing and beamforming algorithms

Set up, verify, and validate test setups (for R&D and production)

Test and validate systems, software, and hardware

Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and test plans

Coordinate with customers on interfacing and system integration

Collaborate with R&D, production, and external suppliers

Are you someone with knowledge of

FPGA design tools

Programming languages such as VHDL, MATLAB

Electronics and PCB design

Digital system development (FPGA)Ultrasound systems and imaging (preferred)

Relevant standards and regulations (IEC 13485) (preferred)

Embedded programming (preferred)

Good command of the English language

Oldelft is an innovative Dutch high‑tech company. With a team of more than 85 employees, they develop and produce advanced ultrasound TEE probes that enable highly accurate imaging of the heart from the esophagus. These high‑tech instruments are globally unique due to their extreme miniaturization and technological complexity.

Oldelft specialize in developing complex ultrasound transducers and have significantly advanced in the field of 3D ultrasound technology in recent years. To support this, Oldelft develops own ASICs, which are controlled and validated using FPGAs. Thanks to this combination of deep expertise and innovative strength, Oldelft is at the forefront of medical ultrasound technology worldwide.
