ph3The Role /h3 pAs a bField Service Engineer /b you will install, commission, and support our cryogenic I/O systems at customer sites around the world. You will work at the interface of engineering, manufacturing, and customer success, ensuring our products are integrated successfully into complex quantum computing systems. /p pThis is a hands‑on role requiring mechanical precision, technical troubleshooting, and excellent communication skills. Working at Delft Circuits means contributing to cutting‑edge technology alongside leading quantum computing companies and research institutes worldwide. /p h3Your key responsibilities will include: /h3 h3Installation Commissioning /h3 ul liCooperate installing cryogenic I/O systems in dilution refrigerators and quantum computing laboratories, both research and industrial scale /li liPerform mechanical, electrical, and thermal integration of Delft Circuits products /li liVerify system functionality through testing, inspection, and acceptance procedures /li /ul ul liDocument installation activities and provide commissioning reports /li /ul h3Technical Support /h3 ul liDiagnose and resolve installation and integration issues at customer sites /li liProvide first‑line technical support during system commissioning /li liCoordinate with engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges /li /ul ul liSupport preventive maintenance and product upgrades /li /ul h3Continuous Improvement /h3 ul liCapture customer feedback and communicate lessons learned to engineering, research and product development teams /li liImprove installation procedures, documentation, and service tools /li liContribute to product reliability and manufacturability improvements /li /ul h3Internal Collaboration /h3 ul liWork closely with RD, Production, Quality, and Sales teams /li liSupport factory acceptance testing before shipment /li liAssist in developing installation manuals and training materials /li liSupport in‑house manufacturing activities (assembly, internal QC test) in between the customer’s installation sessions /li /ul h3What you bring /h3 ul liMBO+ or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field /li liExperience with installation, commissioning, or servicing of high‑tech equipment, for at least one year /li liStrong hands‑on mechanical skills with excellent attention to detail /li liAbility to read technical drawings and assembly documentation /li liExperience troubleshooting technical systems /li liBasic understanding of RF and microwave measurements, including vector network analyzer (VNA) operation, calibration techniques, S‑parameter measurements, and DC characterization /li liExcellent communication skills in English /li liWillingness to travel internationally (approximately 30–50% depending on project load) /li /ul h3Bonus points for /h3 ul liExperience working with cryogenic equipment, vacuum systems, or scientific instrumentation. /li liFamiliarity with dilution refrigerators or low‑temperature physics laboratories. /li liExperience with cleanroom environments. /li liUnderstanding of RF, microwave, or high‑frequency cabling. /li liExperience performing RF and microwave measurements using a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) at an expert level. /li liBasic programming or scripting skills (Python, LabVIEW, or similar). /li liExperience working in customer‑facing technical roles. /li /ul h3Personal Attributes /h3 ul liIs meticulous and works with precision. /li liEnjoys solving practical technical challenges. /li liCommunicates confidently with customers and colleagues. /li liIs adaptable and comfortable working in dynamic environments. /li liTakes ownership and can work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. /li liMaintains composure under pressure and approaches problems methodically. /li /ul h3Working Environment /h3 pYou will split your time between: /p ul liDelft Circuits’ headquarters in Delft, /li liCustomer laboratories across Europe, North America, and Asia, /li liManufacturing and testing facilities, /li liOccasionally supporting field service and urgent customer requests. /li /ul h3Why join Delft Circuits? /h3 pAt Delft Circuits, you’ll have the opportunity to work at the forefront of quantum computing technology, contributing to one of the world’s most exciting and fast‑moving industries.
