As a Field Service Engineer, you will install, commission, and support our advanced cryogenic I/O systems at customer sites around the world. Working at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and customer success, you'll ensure our technology is successfully integrated into complex quantum computing systems.
This hands-on role combines mechanical precision, technical troubleshooting, and customer interaction. You'll represent Delft Circuits during installations, upgrades, maintenance, and customer training, while collaborating closely with our R&D, Production, Quality, and Sales teams.
What you'll do
- Install and commission cryogenic I/O systems at leading quantum computing laboratories worldwide.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and thermal integration and verify system performance.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support customers during commissioning and maintenance.
- Capture customer feedback and contribute to continuous product and process improvements.
- Support manufacturing, testing, and documentation between customer projects.
What you bring
- MBO+ or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- At least 1 year of experience installing, commissioning, or servicing high-tech equipment.
- Strong hands-on technical skills and experience troubleshooting complex systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and assembly documentation.
- Basic knowledge of RF/microwave measurements (including VNA).
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally (30–50%).
Experience with cryogenic equipment, vacuum systems, scientific instrumentation, cleanrooms, or customer-facing technical roles is a plus.
