ph3The Role /h3pAs a Fabrication and Test Engineer (Process Engineer in our function house) you will be at the heart of our flex fabrication innovation. We are looking for two new engineers: for the Research team and for the Process Development team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll spend most of the time in the lab fabricating flexes for RD testing, exploring new capabilities and running structured experiments to strengthen and refine our process flows. Based in Delft, Netherlands, our diverse team of engineers, physicists, and innovators combines deep technical expertise with an open, collaborative culture —where ideas are shared, challenges are tackled head-on, and impact is real. /ppFrom hands-on lab work to supporting our customers to scale their quantum computers, at Delft Circuits, your work truly matters. /ph3Your key responsibilities will include /h3ullibProcess Experimentation Development /b:br/Running lab-based process experiments to explore parameter windows and improve repeatability and robustness /lilibFabrication Validation:br/ /bFabricating and validating flexible electronic circuits and test structures to validate new capabilities and customer-driven requirements /lilibQuality Control Support:br/ /bApplying quality control checks during development (microscope inspection, electrical checks), support quality control operations when needed and logging failures /lilibProcess Improvement Troubleshooting:br/ /bImplementing and refining different production processes; troubleshoot issues and drive practical improvement /lilibDocumentation Communication:br/ /bClearly documenting experiments, recipes, settings and results, and communicating outcomes to the team, and strong communication skills in English, both in word and written /lilibCross-Functional Collaboration:br/ /bWorking closely with process and product development, systems engineering, production, and quality control teams to ensure new capabilities are manufacturable and integrated into the process flow /li /ulh3What you bring /h3ulliHBO degree preferred in Nanofabrication, Microelectronics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience) /liliDemonstrable hands-on experience in a laboratory, cleanroom or high-tech manufacturing environment, gained through professional work, internships or substantial academic projects /liliExperience with microfabrication / semiconductor fabrication processes such as thin-film deposition, lithography, etching, or other relevant semiconductor processing steps /liliComfortable using diagnostic tools and measurement equipment (microscope, basic electrical tests) /liliStructured, practical approach to experimentation; familiarity with Design of Experiments and Six Sigma methods is a strong plus /liliIndependent working style with proactive communication and strong problem-solving skills /li /ulh3Bonus points for /h3ulliHands-on experience with flexible substrates or polymer-based processes /liliSix Sigma training/certification (e.g., Green Belt) or demonstrated continuous-improvement experience /liliChemical process knowledge relevant to fabrication and surface preparation /li /ulh3Why Join Delft Circuits? /h3pAt Delft Circuits you will work on cutting-edge cryogenic electronics that supports the scale-up of quantum technologies.
