That’s where you come in! /p pQuantWare is building a next-generation 200 mm (8-inch) quantum device fabrication facility (“Kilofab”) and assembly facility to enable industrial-scale manufacturing of superconducting quantum processors. We are seeking a Fab Automation Manufacturing Systems Manager to establish and lead the factory automation and manufacturing systems function. This role defines how manufacturing equipment, metrology systems, test platforms, and factory software systems are integrated to support efficient, traceable, and data-driven manufacturing operations. The role combines technical leadership, project execution, vendor management, and team development. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Fab Automation Manufacturing Systems /h3 ul lipDefine and maintain the fab automation roadmap. /p /li lipDevelop the overall architecture for equipment connectivity and manufacturing data collection. /p /li lipEnsure manufacturing systems support traceability, production control, process monitoring, and operational reporting. /p /li lipWork closely with Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, IT, and Equipment Engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of automation solutions. /p /li /ul h3Equipment Integration /h3 ul lipLead integration of process, metrology, and test equipment into the manufacturing environment. /p /li lipDefine equipment automation requirements during tool selection and procurement. /p /li lipEstablish and maintain equipment communication standards using SECS/GEM, and vendor-specific interfaces/APIs. /p /li lipEnsure collection of equipment status, process data, alarms, events, and metrology/test results. /p /li /ul h3Manufacturing Execution System (MES) /h3 ul lipSupport the selection, implementation, and operation of the MES platform. /p /li lipDefine MES workflows and business requirements. /p /li lipEnsure integration between MES and manufacturing equipment. /p /li lipSupport implementation of lot tracking, genealogy, recipe management, dispatching, and production reporting. /p /li lipAct as the primary business owner for MES within the fab. /p /li /ul h3Manufacturing Data Analytics /h3 ul lipDefine requirements for manufacturing data collection and storage (equipment, process, sensor, metrology, probe/test). /p /li lipSupport implementation of manufacturing databases, historians, and cloud-based data solutions with appropriate security and governance. /p /li lipWork with internal teams and external partners to establish reporting and analytics capabilities. /p /li lipEnable visibility into key manufacturing metrics (yield, throughput, cycle time, equipment utilization, production performance). /p /li /ul h3Process Monitoring Factory Control /h3 ul lipSupport implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Fault Detection Classification (FDC) capabilities. /p /li lipCollaborate with process engineering teams to improve process monitoring and excursion management. /p /li lipEnsure manufacturing data availability to support yield improvement and continuous improvement initiatives. /p /li /ul h3Team Vendor Management /h3 ul lipBuild and lead the fab automation and manufacturing systems team. /p /li lipRecruit and manage key resources (Automation Engineers, MES Application Specialists, Manufacturing Systems Engineers). /p /li lipManage relationships with software suppliers, equipment vendors, and system integration partners. /p /li lipCoordinate automation-related projects from specification through deployment and commissioning. /p /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 h3Must Have /h3 ul lipBSc/MSc/PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or related field. /p /li lip7+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing automation, equipment integration, or manufacturing systems. /p /li lipExperience working with semiconductor equipment integration and automation. /p /li lipPractical knowledge of SECS/GEM communication standards. /p /li lipExperience with MES systems in a manufacturing environment (implementation support or operations). /p /li lipUnderstanding of manufacturing data flows, traceability, and production control. /p /li lipExperience managing technical projects involving multiple stakeholders and vendors. /p /li lipStrong communication and leadership skills. /p /li lipExperience in greenfield facility build or major fab expansion. /p /li lipExperience building and leading small technical teams. /p /li /ul h3Good to Have /h3 ul lipExperience supporting MES implementation projects end-to-end. /p /li lipExperience with SPC and/or FDC systems. /p /li lipExperience integrating semiconductor metrology and test/probe equipment. /p /li lipFamiliarity with cloud-based manufacturing data platforms and basic ETL concepts. /p /li lipExperience in quantum, superconducting, photonics, MEMS, or other advanced technology manufacturing. /p /li /ul h3What we Offer: /h3 pAt QuantWare, you’ll be part of a high-performing team of world-class experts in an ambitious, fast-moving environment.
