ppIn a fast-growing nanosatellite market, ISISPACE offers a broad portfolio of miniaturized components and subsystems that are both used in ISISPACE designed satellites and sold as standalone products to customers globally. Our challenging CubeSat and NanoSat missions are used for a wide variety of purposes, for example testing out new technologies in space, atmospheric and climate monitoring, and signal intelligence. /p pAs Embedded Software Engineer you will join the Mission Solutions Engineering team and are made responsible for contributing to the design, development, and verification of (flight) software for our nanosatellite mission projects. You support the entire life cycle of our projects, from preparing proposals, deriving subsystem‑requirements, delivery of the software to internal or external customers, and supporting in‑orbit operations. In this role, you will work closely together with the various disciplines within the company such as the Project Managers, Systems Engineers, System Assembly Integration and Test Engineers, and others. In addition, you act as a versatile engineer that can support projects where and when needed. /p h3Your main responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign, development, and verification of the CDHS (Command and Data Handling System) flight software for nanosatellites. /li liWriting technical documentation such as requirements specification, test procedures, software, and system documentation. /li /ul ul liDegree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Embedded Systems, or equivalent. /li li+6 years of working experience in embedded flight software development for spacecraft. /li liThorough knowledge of C programming language. /li liExperience with data‑interface standards: I2C, UART, SPI. /li liExperience with FreeRTOS. /li liExperience with Git and Gitlab. /li liExperience with microcontrollers and associated IDEs. /li liAbility to work independently and flexible. /li liSolid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi‑tasking skills. /li liEnergetic team player with a positive and open mindset. /li liExcellent and straightforward communication skills (with proficiency in English). /li liA great sense of responsibility and commitment. /li liA strategic and analytical mind. /li /ul h3Bonus points if you bring /h3 ul liExperience with leading a (SW) team. /li liExperience or affinity with software process management and improvements. /li liExperience with security protocols and implementation relevant for spacecraft. /li liExperience with Python, and C/C++. /li liExperience with CAN bus protocol. /li liExperience in working with test equipment such as oscilloscopes. /li liExperience or affinity with test-driven development. /li liFamiliarity with embedded Linux development. /liliExperience with software testing practices. /li /ul h3Why should you join us? /h3 pWe bring together a team of dedicated people from all over the world that are fun and pleasant to work with.
