ph3Overview /h3pElectrical Engineer for the payload bay (volunteer, unpaid). Location: Delft, The Netherlands. About the position: We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team and contribute directly to the development of the Science Testbed (a Tumbleweed prototype). In this role, you will focus on designing, integrating, testing, and maintaining the electrical systems and components that support the scientific instruments and experiments housed within the payload bay of the Testbed. This work goes towards a Martian Analogous mission. /ph3Qualifications /h3ullibStrong hands-on experience with prototype development and testing. /b /lilibBasic proficiency in electrical integration /b and familiarity with tools used for assembly and testing. /lilibStrong communication and intercultural skills /b to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external mentors. /lilibExcellent written and spoken English. /b /lilibWillingness to engage in continuous learning /b and bpersonal development /b in both engineering and planetary science fields. /lilibFamiliarity with Python /b or bMATLAB /b for data analysis during payload testing is a plus. /lilibProximity to Delft /b, as this position requires regular on-site involvement. /lilibGraduated or enrolled in a Bachelor’s or higher degree /b in bElectrical Engineering /b or a related field. /lilibExpected commitment of at least 1.5 years /b and approximately b15 hours per week /b. /li /ulh3Responsibilities /h3ullibIntegrate and test the electrical systems of the payload bay /b of the Tumbleweed Rover prototype, ensuring electrical compatibility with scientific instruments. /lilibPerform environmental and functional tests /b on the payload bay to validate instrument performance under simulated mission conditions (e.g., wind, vibration, temperature). /liliCollaborate regularly with the bengineering team /b to align on design constraints. /liliWork with external researchers and mentors when collaborating on bespoke instruments. /lilibWrite papers outlining the results of the numerous tests for publication. /b /lilibPresent findings at relevant conferences. /b /li /ulh3Rewards / Benefits /h3pbRewards: /b Check out the perks of being in our team at teamtumbleweed.eu/apply! /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
