The ASIC Design Engineer will design anddevelop custom digital solutions in close collaboration with the mixed-signalcircuits team for a variety of low to medium complexity but high-performancebuilding blocks including PLL frequency dividers, digital filters, and lowpower digital controllers.
Responsibilities:
- Build and support verificationprocess of CMOS chips and their components at block and chip levels
- Create simplified models ofanalog blocks to speed up preparing for chip tape outs
- Take part in digital design,design and verification automation process development
- Own the modeling andverification of chips
- Contribute to other projects asneeded by management
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Ph.D. or MS Degree inElectronic Engineering with minimum two years work experience
- Digital front-end engineeringexperience with some analog understanding basics
- Experience in designing variousdigital filters, Sigma-Delta modulators, I2C and SPI interfaces
- Knowledge of back-end designflow: synthesis, place and route, and gate-level simulations
- Knowledge of the overall ASICdesign flow
- Software development skills and scripting
- Knowledge of programminglanguages: MATLAB, VerilogA
