Application Engineer – Personal Protective Equipment
Location: Remote, with up to 50% travel across the Netherlands and Belgium and some travel to offices in the Netherlands.

We are currently looking for an ambitious Application Engineer to strengthen their team in the Netherlands and Belgium.
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Application Engineer, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical expertise and collaborate with innovative teams and diverse industries. You will serve as the technical backbone for customers, helping them optimize safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Guidance: Serve as the primary technical consultant on product performance, regulatory requirements, and European PPE standards for customers.
- On-site Evaluations: Deliver tailored product evaluations, demonstrations, and trials at customer sites to validate PPE fit and optimize safety outcomes.
- Solution Mapping: Assess customer use conditions, compliance needs, and hazards to recommend the most suitable solutions, including care and maintenance guidelines.
- Commercial Support: Support the sales cycle (pre- and post-sale) with technical proposals, compliance mappings (PPE Regulation), and risk-mitigation recommendations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Account Managers, Marketing, Product Development, and Regulatory Affairs to align on market needs and drive safety culture.
- Knowledge Sharing: Advance worker health and safety through customer trainings, webinars, 3rd party engagement, and technical content.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success from day one, we are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related sciences.
- Experience: Proven experience related to occupational health and safety.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with general health and safety regulations in the Netherlands and Belgium, and a strong willingness to continuously elevate that knowledge.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to act as an effective intermediary between the organization and customers at all levels.
- Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English. Proficiency in French is considered a strong asset.
- Preferred Qualification: A background in Safety Engineering (e.g., Hogere Veiligheidskunde / HVK or Middelbare Veiligheidskunde / MVK) is highly preferred.
