Job description The Computer Science departments of Software Technology and Intelligent Systems are currently looking for multiple research software engineers who have the knowledge and skills to support researchers in developing and maintaining research software, either part-time of full-time. As a research software engineer for Computer Science at TU Delft, you will be responsible for a variety of technical activities related to software development, data management, and cloud computing, all of which will help to improve research outcomes. You will be responsible for developing and supporting advanced solutions to research computing challenges across diverse domains, such as artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, software engineering, deep learning, and data science/management. You will collaborate with other research support colleagues to provide assistance with high performance computing (HPC) services and you will be working alongside researchers to enhance their workflow, models, and codes. Additionally, you will have the option to specialize in one of the following areas: artificial intelligence & deep learning, data science, or high-performance computing and the Cloud. As a member of the Research Engineering and Infrastructure team, you will be joining a group of friendly and dedicated professionals who are committed to providing the tools and skills necessary to improve the quality and delivery of research at the Delft University of Technology.
