We are seeking a new colleague for a Sustainability Coordinator Role for the Rotterdam Trading Office, located in Delft – The Netherlands.

Job Description

A selection of your responsibilities within your role:

  1. Be an ESG ambassador for METRO Food Sourcing Offices, establishing local network with/within Sustainability Team and Metro Group Companies & Channels.
  2. Development and implementation of Global Procurement in Ultra Fresh specific ESG strategy including European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
  3. Ensure monitoring of legislations, media/news and market trends related to sustainability and define the tracking metrics in ultra-Fresh procurement categories.
  4. Prepare and present periodic reports about sustainability KPI’s.
  5. Coordination of projects related to ESG.

Qualifications

If you are…

  1. Fluent in English.
  2. Possessing good leadership and communication skills.
  3. Capable to motivate and engage professionals beyond own reporting lines.
  4. Deep knowledge of business strategy, customer needs, and market trends.
  5. Comprehensive analytical skills including scientific documentation and reports.
  6. Capable of working in a team as well as on your own.
  7. Enjoying the simultaneous coordination of several projects with respective teams.
  8. HBO (bachelor) education in a relevant area + Minimum 3-5 years working experience (in Ultra Fresh).
