The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales and business development within the industrial wastewater treatment and biogas sector. This role involves technical sales, client relationship management, and providing tailored solutions to customers in industries such as food & beverage, chemical, and energy. The Sales Engineer will bridge the gap between technical expertise and commercial acumen, ensuring that our client’s technologies are effectively promoted and implemented.

Responsibilities;

•Conduct technical assessments of industrial wastewater treatment needs, evaluating process feasibility and proposing engineering solutions.

•Prepare and review process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and technical specifications for proposed solutions.

•Support the development of technical proposals, including process calculations, system sizing, and cost estimates.

•Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to refine system designs and optimize process performance.

•Assist in pilot testing, data analysis, and process validation for new and existing clients.

•Provide technical guidance to clients, ensuring solutions align with their operational requirements and sustainability goals.

•Coordinate with procurement and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution from design to commissioning.

•Stay up to date with industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in anaerobic treatment, wastewater processing, and biogas recovery.

•Conduct site visits to assess existing treatment infrastructure, troubleshoot system performance, and support after-sales engineering services.

Qualifications:

Essential:

•Knowledge of Dutch and English languages.

•Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or project engineering within water treatment, biogas, or related industries.

•Strong understanding of anaerobic digestion, wastewater treatment, and biogas recovery technologies.

•Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

•Ability to interpret process diagrams, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.

•Willingness to travel to client sites, conferences, and industry events as needed.

Desirable:

•Experience in sustainability, renewable energy, or industrial process optimization.

•Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes in the Netherlands and Europe.

•Proficiency in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
