About the role
We are looking for a Robotics Test Engineer to support the validation of autonomous drone systems in both lab and field environments. This is a hands-on role focused on testing complex hardware-software systems, working closely with the R&D team.
Responsibilities:
- Execute manual and automated tests on embedded and robotic systems
- Perform integration, verification, and regression testing
- Execute test cases in real-world (field) environments
- Create and maintain test plans and test cases
- Investigate, document, and track defects in close collaboration with engineering teams.
- Analyze test results and report on product quality
- Support testing of hardware-software integrations
- Execute drone flights for data acquisition (approximately 1-2 days per week)
Requirements:
- 2+ year of experience in testing technical systems (robotics, embedded, or similar)
- Bachelor's/ Masters degree in a relevant field (aerospace, robotics, engineering)
- Experience with manual testing
- Basic programming/scripting skills (Python required)
- Experience with OpenCV and/or C++ is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical mindset
- Interest in understanding systems end-to-end
- Comfortable working with custom-built or evolving technology
- Flexible and able to handle changing priorities
- Willing to work on-site and in the field
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with engineers to identify and resolve root causes.
