We are looking for a motivated:

Product application lab technician

The product application lab in Delft is the state-of-art application center for, among other, applications in food ingredient processing and brewing.

The lab technician will play a critical role in this lab as the lab care-taker, coordinating tasks around the lab, including QESH, equipment maintenance, chemical registration, as well as deliver regular technical support for service requests and develop lab protocols.

We are looking for a colleague who loves to work in a biochemical application lab, and willing to take up the responsibilities in and around the lab.

Key Responsibilities

Lab caretaker tasks: equipment maintenance, chemical management/purchase, QESH coordination, safety rounds.

All-around tasks: manage raw material and enzyme collections, prepare samples for sending, prepare analytical request forms.

Regular lab experiments to support brewing service requests.

Regular lab experiments to support ingredient processing service requests.

Based on your experience we will offer you a base salary of € 44.752 to € 63,931 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.

You Bring

MBO or HBO education in (bio)chemistry, preferably with a track record in lab training.

2-5 years of experience working in a (bio)chemistry lab, preferably with a lab caretaker role.

Familiar with laboratory analytical equipment, such as HPLC.

Love to work in a lab environment and understand the safety regulations needed for a lab environment.

Flexible, able to deal with multiple (small) requests on a daily basis.

Structured, work with to-do lists to track and achieve progress.
