We are looking for a motivated:

Product application lab technician

The product application lab in Delft is the state-of-art application center for, among other, applications in food ingredient processing and brewing.

The lab technician will play a critical role in this lab as the lab care-taker, coordinating tasks around the lab, including QESH, equipment maintenance, chemical registration, as well as deliver regular technical support for service requests and develop lab protocols.

We are looking for a colleague who loves to work in a biochemical application lab, and willing to take up the responsibilities in and around the lab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lab caretaker tasks: equipment maintenance, chemical management/purchase, QESH coordination, safety rounds.
  • All-around tasks: manage raw material and enzyme collections, prepare samples for sending, prepare analytical request forms.
  • Regular lab experiments to support brewing service requests.
  • Regular lab experiments to support ingredient processing service requests.

  • Based on your experience we will offer you a base salary of € 44.752 to € 63,931 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.
  • You Bring

  • MBO or HBO education in (bio)chemistry, preferably with a track record in lab training.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in a (bio)chemistry lab, preferably with a lab caretaker role.
  • Familiar with laboratory analytical equipment, such as HPLC.
  • Love to work in a lab environment and understand the safety regulations needed for a lab environment.
  • Flexible, able to deal with multiple (small) requests on a daily basis.
  • Structured, work with to-do lists to track and achieve progress.
