VSPARTICLE (VSP) is a fast-growing nanotechnology company, that is on a mission to change the world of material development. For the development of clean energy millions of new materials need to be investigated. VSP develops new technology to unlock and accelerate the discovery of novel materials with advanced properties, that can contribute to solve the world’s biggest challenges.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who will strengthen our Product Development team. Together with your team you will work on upscaling this revolutionary technology to industrial scale.

Your job with us

As an Electrical Engineer, you will support all electrical engineering development for our next generation equipment, the industrial pilot lines. You will work in a mixed engineering team together with a senior Electrical Engineer. These pilot lines include nanoparticle generation via Spark discharge, nanoparticle 3D printing processes, and a substrate handling system. You will work closely with the application and software development teams as the technical expert on electronics.

Your responsibilities

  • Design, procurement, integration and testing of electrical (sub)systems
  • Create bills of materials, electrical schematics, and technical documentation of your designs
  • Supporting analysis and calculations to ensure optimal electrical design and efficiency
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, perform routine maintenance and testing
  • Help in selecting and evaluating electrical components and subsystems to meet product requirements

Your professional qualities

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, with at least 2 years preferably 5 years of experience in a similar project environment
  • Familiarity with electronics and power electronics design.
  • Experience with EPLAN software
  • Ability to apply practical and theoretical knowledge in power distribution, PCBA design, EMC, control systems, and electronics manufacturing.
  • Excellent technical writing and communications skills
