About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Computer Vision Engineer to join our team in Delft. You will work on high-performance camera gimbals, building software that transforms raw, vibrating video streams into stable, high-quality footage.

In addition, you will develop real-time object detection capabilities that provide actionable insights to operators in the field. This is a hands-on role where your work directly impacts real hardware used in demanding, real-world environments.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and optimize real-time computer vision software in Python and C++
  • Improve video stream quality through network configuration and protocol optimization
  • Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects involving onboard sensors and systems (e.g. drones, robotics)
  • Integrate computer vision algorithms with embedded and hardware systems
  • Set up and maintain robust testing environments, including hardware-in-the-loop setups
  • Conduct field testing to validate performance in real-world conditions
  • Review pull requests and contribute to clean, maintainable code while adhering to coding standards
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, technical discussions, and sprint planning

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ year of professional experience in Computer Vision, Robotics, Embedded Systems, or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C++
  • Solid understanding of computer vision fundamentals (classical methods and/or deep learning)
  • Experience working in Linux environments (bash, tooling, deployment)
  • Familiarity with collaborative development practices (Git, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum)
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-changing environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Right to work in the Netherlands (or eligibility to obtain it)

Nice to Have

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Vision, Robotics, AI, or a related technical field
  • Experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
  • Experience with real-time video processing
  • Familiarity with MAVLink, UAVs, drones, or robotic platforms
  • Experience deploying CV models on embedded or resource-constrained systems
  • Experience with REST APIs and/or WebSockets
  • Interest in startups and/or the defense or dual-use technology sector

What We Offer

  • Work on cutting-edge computer vision technology with real-world impact
  • Full access to in-house hardware- we design and build our own gimbals
  • A fast-paced, high-ownership environment where your contributions matter
  • Close collaboration with a skilled, motivated, and supportive team
  • A dynamic role combining software, hardware, and field testing
